The Capital Projects & Asset Management program of the Haisla Nation is dedicated to the effective planning, execution, and maintenance of the Nation's infrastructure and assets. The program ensures that all capital projects align with the community’s growth and sustainability goals, while managing and preserving the Nation’s assets to support long-term operational efficiency.
Overseeing the planning, design, and construction of new infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet community needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
Managing and maintaining the Nation’s assets, including buildings, fleet, and equipment, to ensure their longevity, safety, and functionality.
Providing comprehensive cleaning and maintenance services for all Haisla Nation buildings to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
The Housing program of the Haisla Nation is dedicated to providing safe, affordable, and culturally appropriate housing solutions for the community. The program supports home ownership initiatives, offers housing assistance, and manages Nation-owned rental properties to ensure that all members have access to secure and sustainable living environments.
Providing resources, education, and financial assistance to members interested in home ownership, helping them navigate the process and achieve long-term housing stability.
Overseeing the allocation, maintenance, and management of rental properties owned by the Nation, ensuring they are well-maintained and accessible to those in need.
At a duly convened Council meeting held on July 18, 2024, the Haisla Elders Assistance Program (H.E.A.P) policy amendments and budget received approval.
H.E.A.P aims to assist Haisla elders aged 55 and older by offering financial aid for essential home improvements, enhancing safety, accessibility, and quality of life for our elders.
