Curbside Collection will still be taking place on Easter Monday

Date Posted: March 28, 2024

While the curbside collection date for Recycling and Food waste falls on a Statutory holiday, Monday, April 1, 2024, collection will still continue as scheduled.

Ensure the rigid blue bin and tall green bin are placed at the curb by 8 am, as the collection will begin shortly after. Keep in mind that only one collection round will be conducted.

Helpful tips to keep in mind:

  • Blue rigid bins (Recycling):
    • Items for recycling should be empty, rinsed, and placed loosely inside the bin.
  • Tall green bin (Compost):
    • Food waste can be placed in a compostable bag or directly inside the tall green bin.
  • Note that the "kitchen catcher" for food waste and the vinyl "indoor recycling organizers" are not for curbside use; they are intended for indoor sorting purposes only.

We acknowledge that change can be challenging. It's inspiring to witness households embracing this change to help do their part to lessen waste at our community landfill, cut down carbon emissions, and promote a healthier, happier planet for all.
