Grandparents Group

To Grandparents of the Haisla Nation
The Social Services program would like to invite you to be part of a new Grandparents Group. It’s a space to gather, share, and connect through the stories and experiences of raising children.
We’re especially interested in learning about how your role as a grandparent influences parenting today. This will also be a safe and welcoming space to talk about life’s challenges and offer support to one another.
The group will be informal and relaxed, and we’ll gather around a table or in the living area at the Lighthouse, to reflect the casual and welcoming nature of the gathering.
Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided, and transportation can be arranged if needed. You’ll also have a chance to meet our staff and hear more about the programs and vision of our department.
Our second gathering will be held on March 4th at 1:30pm at the Lighthouse at 327B Haisla Avenue. I’ll also be reaching out personally by phone and in person to invite you.
If you’re interested or would like more information, please feel free to call me at 250-279-1111.
Please share this invitation with others who may be interested, we’d love to welcome as many grandparents as possible.
We hope to see you there!
