Community Mailboxes

Secure Mail Access for Residents

Mail delivery in Haisla Nation is handled through secure community mailboxes. Each household has its own locked compartment for daily mail, plus access to larger parcel lockers for bigger deliveries.

This system helps keep mail secure and reliable year-round. If you haven’t received your keys or have questions, please reach out to the Haisla Nation administration office or your local post office.

Mailbox FAQs

Identify the Module Number:
Look at the top left corner of the community mailbox to find the module number.

Locate Your Compartment:
Within that module, find your personal compartment number on the locked boxes.

When your mailbox is ready, Canada Post will deliver your keys and instructions. If you haven’t received them yet, contact the Haisla Nation administration office or the local post office for assistance.

Contact Haisla Nation administration or Canada Post. They’ll help replace the lock or issue a new key for a small fee.

If you receive a larger parcel, you’ll find a temporary key in your mailbox that opens a parcel locker nearby. After you’ve collected your item, leave that key in the locker for the next person.

Canada Post recommends checking every couple of days so your box doesn’t fill up..

If access is blocked, contact the Haisla Nation administration so it can be cleared.

For jammed or damaged boxes, contact Canada Post or report it through the Haisla Nation administration office.
