The BC Elders Communication Center Society has released details for the upcoming 50th Annual Elders Gathering, themed “Standing Side By Side.” Haisla Nation is sharing this information for Elders, families, and community members who may wish to attend.
Event Details
- Dates: August 25–26, 2026
- Mandatory Group Leader Check‑In: August 24, 2026 (12:00 pm–5:00 pm)
- Location: Vancouver Convention Centre, East Building
Registration
- Fee: $650 per person (Elders, helpers, and drivers all pay the same rate)
- Deadline: July 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm
- No on-site registration; all seating is prepaid and assigned
- Children under 12 are not permitted
- Ages 12+ must be helpers if attending
- Registration forms and details are available at www.bcelders.com.
Meals & Services
- Registration includes:
- 2 lunches, 2 dinners
- 4 coffee/tea breaks
- Access to wellness and personal‑care services for Elders
- Helpers may access services on Day 2 from 1–4 pm.
- Breakfast is not provided.
Important Notes
- Groups must bring any necessary wheelchairs or walkers for Elders.
- Helpers are expected to stay with Elders throughout the event.
- BCECCS does not coordinate hotel bookings — attendees must arrange their own accommodations.
- Parking and drop‑off maps will be emailed by the organizers before the event.
