Self-check for COVID-19 symptoms online

Haisla Nation Council is taking appropriate actions and precautions to address the situation. We are actively monitoring the situation.

Reception at the Haisla Nation Council administration building is available for phone calls, from 8 am to 3 pm business days. Feel free to call! 250-639-9361.

We are in need of more people for the rotation at the restricted access point of Kitamaat Village, as we continue to restrict traffic due to COVID-19. Are you interested? Contact Tracey Ross at TraceyRoss@haisla.ca for more information.

If you have been exposed to Covid-19, or have travelled to a high-risk area with confirmed cases
We ask that you report your re-entry into the community to the Haisla Health Centre. (Call 250-632-3600 or toll-free 1-888-842-4752). Tell us where you travelled and whether you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty breathing. You are asked to self-isolate, and to monitor yourself, for a period of 14 days for symptoms of the virus. If you do not experience any symptoms, come out of isolation but continue to monitor yourself for symptoms.

This also applies to our off-reserve members who may be coming home.

Self-monitor
We ask that all HNC staff, community members and visitors self-regulate and self-monitor. Please wash your hands or treat their hands with hand sanitizer. If you start to experience any symptoms, please self-isolate and call 811.

Reliable sources of info only
Haisla Nation council only relies on valid sources of information such as the Public Health Agency of Canada and the BC Centre for Disease Control to make decisions.

Thank you for helping us keep our community safe. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates.
