Haisla Health Centre 

Notice to Haisla Community Members 

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Flu Clinic yesterday. It was 
a great success with over 400 children and adults immunized. We 
appreciate your contribution to personal and community wellness. 
We are experiencing a high absentee rate in the Haisla Community 
School, C’imoc’a Preschool and Elders Centre and have closed both 
facilities for the week to disinfect our community buildings. Today we 
have also closed the Recreation Centre for the remainder of the week. 
A community Centre is a primary place to spread the virus. 
This is being done to protect the community. 
Kitamaat Village Council Administration building and the Haisla Health 
Centre building will remain open and we ask for your support to keep 
our staff healthy. If you are not feeling well or have been exposed to 
someone who is sick,  please call us before you come over. We will do 
our best to support you on the phone. 
We also ask that if you are selling baked goods from your home that 
you stop providing this service for the week. 
We are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will keep you 
informed by Community Newsletter, Haisla Web Site and Facebook.
