KVC administration currently provides municipal services and local delivery of a host of social, educational and developmental programs.
KVC administration is recognized as a competent and progressive organization by all agencies with whom they do business. Kitamaat Village Council is responsible for the management of budgets. KVC devotes a lot of time to ensuring that all relevant Government agencies understand and support their economic development plans.
Over the years Kitamaat Village Council has worked to secure many benefits for the Haisla Nation. One of the biggest being its work on saving the Kitlope Valley, the largest intact old growth coastal temperate rain forest watershed left in the world from further logging.
