Dear Haisla member,

Haisla Nation Council, through a duly convened meeting held November 15, 2018, has approved a Band Council Resolution which provides eligible Haisla members with a one-time Per Capita Distribution (PCD) payment, of $5,000.

The source of the funds of this PCD is through Haisla Nation Joint Venture and Limited Partnership revenues.

Under the Haisla Nation Council PCD distribution policy, members are eligible under the following conditions:

  1. A member, 18 years of age or older, on the Haisla Nation band list; and,
  2. A member in good financial standing with Haisla Nation Council.
    1. A member who owes monies to Haisla Nation Council and is not in good financial standing with HNC, will have the amount of the PCD deducted towards those debts.
    2. Deductions are also possible through provincial and federal agencies (e.g., Family Maintenance, Canada Revenue Agency), and Haisla Nation Council has no control over those matters.

Haisla Nation members who are minors (under 18 years of age) are also eligible, and the amount of their PCD will be placed into a specially created Trust which will be accessible after the member has turned 18 years of age.
